Over the past few days, rumors have circulated that singer Solange was dropped from her label Music World and Interscope/Geffen/A&M. The rumors began shortly after Solange's former label-mate Kelly Rowland was dropped from the label.

But earlier this week Interscope, Music World, and Matthew Knowles, Solange's father all released statements discrediting the rumor.

"Contrary to rumors floating through the internet over the last few days, Solange remains a part of the Interscope Geffen A&M family," a representative for Interscope explained in a statement. "It's unfortunate that people have posted false information without checking their sources first."

Matthew Knowles, who is also Solange's manager made sure to also issue a statement on the matter.

"Our joint venture with Music World and Interscope/Geffen/A&M is very much in place with Solange. Her remarkable achievements speak for themselves," Matthew Knowles said in a statement.

In the culture of Hip Hop its safe to say that we have connected with other ethnicities that we don't see often in other genre's of music. Hip Hop music is incorporated in most popular radio stations rotation or contain songs with some sort of hip hop influence. It has evolved to be more than just a "African American" or "Urban" thing, everywhere you look other ethnicities are (and have always been) adopting some form of the culture from Graffiti, DJ'ing and possibly the most popular out of all the elements Break Dancing. We have come along way as far as diversity but thats not to say that there aren't still some restrictions on those who are apart of our culture.
